It’s impossible to understand your enemy unless you understand his motivation. Islamists are motivated by the absolute conviction that they are destined by their false god to rule the entire world as a caliphate. They will never voluntarily give up their “holy war.” Those who do not wish to live under a caliphate ignore these facts at their existential peril.
