To be hopeful, it can be a recoverable error. When I was in grade school, we kids all *knew* that, if Kennedy were to be elected, we would all have to become Catholic and go to school on Saturday. My parents (whose best friends were Catholic and who voted for Kennedy) never said anything witless or derogatory about JFK. It was all Social Contagion at Hodgin Elementary School.
Brainwash them young. The Nazis and the Marxists did the same. Of course these liberal parents have taught them to view Trump as the boogie monster. But they will grow up and have their own minds.
