From His Lips to God’s Ear

Harris has a well earned reputation of being a rhymes with witch to work for, and she loses staff in epic amounts as a result.  Was this a deliberate attempt by a disgruntled, as opposed to gruntled,  staffer to sabotage her campaign?  Unless she wins, the tell all books from her campaign should make for hilarious reading.

It won’t be a landslide, unfortunately.
Too many worship at the altar of abortion in our country. Because of that reality this race will be close, imho.

If I were Cardinal Dolan I’d be relieved, rather than disappointed, that Kamala isn’t coming to the event. It would have been incredibly awkward given her absolutely passionate pro-abortion (not just pro-choice) advocacy and blatant anti-Catholicism (when she questioned whether members of the K of C were fit to be federal judges).

Phil Lawler walks it thru:
https://www.catholicculture.org/commentary/why-kamala-harris-is-skipping-al-smith-dinner/

Synopsis: although the catholic vote is roughly 1/4 of the electorate.. thanks to weak bishops and the confused laypersons her portion of the “catholic” vote is secure… she’ll never convince Catholics who believe baby killing is murder.. and she’s hiding.

I suspect her pro-abortion stance is why she won’t come. That is her primary campaign position and Trump would not hold back talking about it considering his speech when he was there with Hillary. He said she hated Catholics.

*He said she hated Catholics.*

Serpents have had a hatred for Truth from the very beginning, as seen in the Garden of Eden.
Harris crawls on her belly. The chance for conversion is there, but very rare. Her center stage moment will be almost impossible for her to voluntarily step away from. Power has an insatiable appetite.

Praying for her demise isn’t a bad thing, since it could open the door to humility..and from there..who knows?

If Diamond Tim Dolan wanted her to be there, he should’ve offered to install a teleprompter.

His Eminence is the one who should be skipping the Al Smith Dinner. Yucking it up for three hours with unrepentant pro-aborts is not the best use of his time.

I am amazed that Dolan called her out like that. I would have expected a softball deflection along the lines of “sure she’s busy, doing good work, only so many hours in a day, etc”

IMHO, for him to compare her to Mondale means one of two things. Either his pride was hurt by the snub, or he knows NY is in play and is trying to look in the know.

Both would be good things.

Thank you for the Phil Lawler link, David WS.

Excellent point;
And now, after the latest shocking public statement by Pope Francis, anyone who believes that the Catholic Church teaches with moral authority must wrestle with the Pontiff’s claim that all religions are paths to God. If the Church—and the Church alone—is not guided by the Holy Spirit, then there is no convincing reason for the faithful to regard Church teaching as decisive, no reason to expect Catholics to think alike, no basis for a ‘Catholic vote.’

Words have consequences.
Silence too.
The cost of innocent life is found in both.

Good for him for saying this. However I think he is irked because it’s a snub to his pride rather than a snub to the Church and Catholics. Nevertheless, hopefully it damages her chances with Catholic voters.

Shame on Cardinal Dolan for inviting her. She is an advocate for the murder of unborn children. Would it be right to invite a member of the church of satin to a fundraiser for a Catholic charity? What’s the difference?

He wouldn’t have half the Bishops or clergy either if you were going to use that logic.
