Despicable

I doubt if Trump will forget or forgive this.  Zelensky has made an enemy of half the country with this action.  The Democrats are about to find out how sick most Americans are of endless wars with no end in sight.

I doubt if Zelensky is doing this for free.  The quid pro quo might be the US allowing Zelensky to use American weapon systems to strike deeper into Russia, a dangerous escalation of this proxy confrontation between two nuclear powers.

He looks like Gru from *Despicable Me* but with hair. 😂 Sorry Gru (I quite like the animations because Steve Carrell is pretty awesome).

Stop giving Zelensky money. Australia is just a culpable of this as the US. The donation drives when Ukraine was invaded was astonishing. Even our son’s elementary school organised a “donation for Ukraine”. Zelensky has no intention to end this. Too busy being a global super star whilst young Ukrainian men take the hits. I don’t trust him or his agenda.

Ditto Despicable. Trump will note this slickness of the Harris-Biden-Obama-Clinton Campaign in his next rally and keep running with it.
If and when Trump wins Zelinsky will rue the day.

That was pretty stupid on Zelenskyy’s part.
I am a bit concerned about Trump’s intentions though. I’m not ecstatic about endless wars. …I notice that we and our allies have not started any. Putin has controlled most of Eastern Ukraine for over a year, yet he has not seriously sued for peace. I have little confidence that negotiations will net anything worthwhile.

Here we are worried about whether or not Zelensky has enough weapons, and we’re continuing to run ships into sand bars (the technical term is “allision” – I am a submarine sailor and I didn’t know that! I thought the proper acronym was FUBAR – any military types out there know what that means):

https://www.yahoo.com/news/deployed-us-navy-fuel-ship-133142769.html

This is fracking unbelievable. Every other week another CO, another senior officer gets $h1t canned for loss of confidence, another submarine collides into an something or a ship scraps a sandbar or some other damn fool thing, but the big deal is co-ed submarines now!

https://thehill.com/policy/defense/4881945-navy-commissions-first-coed-submarine/

But Zelensky can have all the weapons he wants. Maybe we should send him a few AGM-129A’s with themonuclear warheads!

(Yes, I am being sarcastic.)

A heretical Pope.
A zombie President.
A whore for a VP.
And everyone is out to assassinate the good guy.

FUBAR, indeed.

Zelensky is no more nor more less than most Eastern European politicians. It was Putin that broke the written and, more important, unwritten agreements after the fall of Communism. It was understood that the individual countries would go their own way but with the proviso that Russia would cast the deciding vote on foreign policy. The framework was called the Congress of Independent States. For reasons still not completely understood, Putin decided he would be a second Peter the Great instead of a Nicholas I. The US and the West handled this quite poorly and a paranoid Putin went on a rampage. Trump was quite right in that he probably could have persuaded both Putin and Zelensky that nothing would be gained from a war except long term turmoil. However, when Putin saw that his only opposition in the US was a senile and feckless old man, he could not pass on the opportunity. Regardless of who wins the Presidency, the cost of this cascade of failure will be with us for some time.

How long do you think the government of Mexico would last if it signed a treaty with Russia and allowed Russia to station nuclear weapons there?

Lucius, ..I am rather surprised by this article.
I must admit. …I thought the Navy had done this at least 20 years ago…. I notice they don’t mention precisely what “co-ed” means. If we’re doing this for “equality”, it makes sense they would have men and women enlisted sharing berthing areas. ..I don’t have much confidence that feminists will allow that. Such interests tend to want equality …until they don’t.
