PopeWatch: Yep

The Pope and President Trump have one thing in common:  a tendency to get into trouble when speaking off script.  It would be better if all popes took a vow of silence at at the beginning of their pontificates.

Amen. Much as I admire most of what JP2 did for the Church, his initiation of the Traveling Pope Show is one we could have done without. Ditto World Youth Day. Great idea, lousy execution in most years. Rant over. 😁

Yes- always better not to go off script with our current Pope. Just pray for him. God can change anyone at anytime.

There is one glimmer of positivity with this Pope lately. He has advocated for an investigation into the bomb blast in Beirut. Which translates to bringing Hezbollah down (who were storing arms in those grain silos). Hezbollah is being supported by a Maronite Lebanese President who has formed an alliance for power and become very wealthy as a result.

I was very surprised to read that the Pope said this. Very surprised.
