I’m not so sure that anyone who had just had either of those procedures would be in the mood for a hot dog. Abortion pills (which is what the van is dispensing, if I’m not mistaken) don’t just magically make an inconvenient pregnancy disappear; they induce a miscarriage with all the attendant cramping and bleeding, sometimes severe enough to require a trip to the emergency room. There would also be some post-operative pain after a vasectomy for at least a couple of days (if what I’ve read online from guys who’ve had it done is any indication).
Im thinking this an example of what the Greeks would call Tragic Irony? Truth stranger than fiction? Pretty often now I think …. you can’t make this stuff up. I finished reading The Master and Margarita, which I would rank as profound but one of the craziest books I’ve ever read. News these days beats that pretty much every day 🙁
From what I understand, Unplanned, the story of former PP regional manager Abby Johnson, is quite realistic. I have shared the DVD with a group of young adults in our parish, just after the dvd’s became available. It is a riveting movie. Having a couple boxes of kleenex on hand was wise.
The lies told to these young, scared women are equal, imo, of the Germans telling the Jews to disrobe to enjoy a shower after their disturbing ride in the cattle cars of the train. Death be thy name oh final soultion. Two die during the abortion. The spirit of the mother and the life of her child.
