WKRP – wonderful cast and great story lines. I wonder if the writers picked up the story line from a supermarket in Knoxville TN? Cas Walker had turkeys thrown from the roof of his store. I and a few classmates were assigned to cover the event. I cannot remember if the turkeys were frozen or fresh.
Researching it today it seems some remembered that the poutry were live chickens the size of fryers. This happened way before WKRP series started in 1978. UT has released or is compiling a book of Ole Cas Walker stories from his radio and TV shows, businesses and political campaigns. I just might order one.
