God provides with every child which enters into this world. We believe this as faithful Christians.
However, I think the general world view, which is clearly predominantly a western view, is that people cannot afford to have a child and raise a child. Economics and birth rate go hand in hand.
I am certain that the birth rate dropping significantly in the space of a short year is a direct result of the rise in the cost of living. Maybe this is deliberate, to reduce the population..?
I think the only way to tackle the declining birth rates in the west, is to make it more affordable for people to live day-to-day. The Church should be putting pressure on world governments. Because believe you-me, the other side is putting pressure on the world governments to do the exact opposite- make it difficult to want to have children. And the pro-aborts and those dishing out the Pill are having a field day with the current western economic situation.
