The Kenyan runner will be telling his grandchildern of the other gold medal that is unseen. The medal of honor that Fernandez won and the triumph of compassion.
One of the bright spots in contrast to this PR of a failure by this Olympics to uphold the reputation and ideals of the event. Let us hope that LA in 2028 has learned from this year’s problems.
