About as useful as the comment by Biden about not knowing about the plea bargain with the9-11 killers.
It smells like the pressure started to awaken the need to act, more than being offended from the diabolical act itself.
It would have been legitimate to let the Archbishop of Paris and the French episcopate speak first, then fill up their words, but where is the thunder? Guess he’s saving that for “real” villains, like TLM followers, eh?
“The Holy See was saddened..” why would the offenders care that the Holy See was “saddened”? Infact the aim of the mockery was to sadden. And besides, the issue here is not about the faithful being saddened. It’s about our outrage at the offence caused to Our Lord where they mocked the Last Supper. And where is the demand for reparation? From the French organisers, the IOC, the French Government etc…I’m sure they are quivering in their boots at the thought of “saddening” the Holy See. It’s lucky for them we don’t retaliate with brutality and qisas.
More useless Jesuit-speak BS…and way too late.
PF does not like to defend the Catholic Church…ever.
Very weak sauce, it would have been better to have not said anything. At least there could have been a question of whether the Holy See might be strong, now there is no doubt that they’re not. Keep this up and Europe will fall. Britain is already starting to look like Lebanon.
Believers of other religions? I don’t think they offended the “prophet”
