Slightly off topic, but IMO the “authentic Olympic spirit” referenced in the tweet has been dead for a very long time. The IOC lost its credibility when it refused to call out the massive cheating by Communist countries for decades, sending clearly professional athletes to what was allegedly an amateur competition. Allowing pros into just about every sport was NOT the cure.
As for the intentional blasphemy against Christ, one may hope that this disgusting display will tank NBC’s ratings and cost the sponsors hugely in lost business. We shall see. In the meantime, as I’ve not watched a single minute of Olympics coverage in about 30 years, I won’t be worrying about it anyway.
Merde indeed. This has backfired on them big-time. The most crap of Opening ceremony’s in the history of Olympic Opening ceremony’s that had nothing to do with sport. Sea-sick athletes on those ridiculous boats floating down the river, world leaders looking ridiculous in rain ponchos, fat drag queens! A colossal fail. As one headline put it – Les Miserables!
Miserable, pathetic and blasphemous. The liberal trifecta strikes agian. As it’s been said a million times, God will not be mocked forever.
One terrible and great day is on the horizon.
French culture is now a slave to the euro and the dollar. So I hope that Christians of every denomination will boycott all products from France and will refuse to visit the country as a tourist. It is the language the French understand.
