If I had any doubts about it, their blatant attempts at politicized lawfare has removed those doubts.
The last thing they want with Trump is a fair election. He is building a new and much more formidable party with strong foundations among minorities and blue collars. I fear what they may attempt when it dawns on them that their lawfare is only increasing his electoral strength.
I fully expect the same result my namesake received.
JFK might be right … Desperate animals are dangerous animals. Expect Schumer’s next “reap the whirlwind” speech.
I think there’s another angle of the Left’s persecution of the former president… that is to make it difficult to prosecute Biden for the crimes he really did commit without appearing as retribution.
(Therefore after the election, if Biden wins he wins, but if he looses he still wins.)
Davis WS, I am hoping that indictments and prosecutions of Democrats for their actual crimes will begin quickly in red states. The whole point has to be retribution, and it has to be made absolutely clear, or we have zero chance of bringing the system back to any semblance of a true rule of law where political prosecutions are universally rejected. That may be impossible in any event, but the Dems have to be made to understand that henceforth we all play by the same rules, and that it’s time we stepped back from the edge of the abyss.
While I support the idea of fair prosecution for those libs who currently consider themselves safe, there must be the sense that fair play is paramount (though the media would portray the prosecution of a lib Hannibal Lector as a show trial!)
Furthermore, the trials must not take steam away from real reform. Putting the prowling lion of the administrative state is far more important than trying to change the color of Hillary’s pantsuit.
Also, I don’t think any court could honestly find Biden competent to stand trial.
How about Dr. Jill? I bet she is not squeaky clean. She has already proved herself a liar. Off shore accounts?
