That play was more accurate than most other portrayals of the corporate world in the postwar era. It was genius-level satire, hitting very close to the mark in every way, while remaining funny and entertaining. Too bad the musical is now a lost art. When the best you can do is anti-historical, un-entertaining dreck like Hamilton, the fat lady has sung.
