Watched the 68 debacle and am looking forward to the Hamas wing of the Democrat Party spreading chaos at the 24 convention!

Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
He arrived here at age 17 on a student visa. He worked as a schoolteacher in Chicago for about a dozen years before landing an alderman’s slot on the Chicago city council. Far as I can tell, the man’s a professional complainer. Please explain to me the benefits of immigration making use of his case as an illustration.
I remember 1968 quite well. Of course Chicago had a real mayor then and the term “law and order” meant something.
What fun! Let’s defund the police, invite every screaming memie Leftist in America and run a superannuated dimwit for a second term to follow a disastrous first term. We’ll call it “Last Tango on the Titanic”. What could go wrong?

Does this man work? You came to the US for a better life I assume. If it’s so bad then go back! Nobody owes you anything.
What I don’t understand how these people earn a living. We have them in Australia and I don’t understand where they find the time or financial resources to agitate. Surely you can’t make a living out of inciting protests…

The echos of 1968 will be quite loud. This time the President will bow out mid-summer (instead of January) and his youthful replacement from California (instead of Massachusetts) will step forward to carry the day. It’ll be brokered convention with the liberal wing of the party holding out again.
and his youthful replacement from California
He could barely carry Cali, with Kennedy in the race!
BillR:
Newsom will not look so good as California faces a huge budget deficit, shrinking population (and middle class), crappy schools and urban chaos. “French Laundry” video footage will be everywhere. Newsom wants to run, but he’s young, and I think he’d rather wait until the state’s economy looks better. There’s also the Harris problem, since she is also a Californian and no doubt expects to succeed Biden if he pulls out. Replacing a black woman with a white man will cost the Democrats, no matter what excuse they offer. The Dems need a centrist blue-state governor with a balanced budget and low crime rate, but doubt they can find one or find one good enough to pay back what they will lose dumping Harris and dissing their far Left.
After Chicago ’68, Nixon wiped the floor with the Dems in two elections, especially with a third-party in the mix.
