This of course historically is how a wave of riots are stopped: convince the rioters that there will be deadly consequences to participating in riots. The Democrat mayors of blue cities where the riots were occurring refused to do this in reaction to the BLM riots, thinking it was politically advantageous to their party to do nothing to stop the mayhem, and also afraid of being call racists by BLM and to making a blood enemy out of the deranged Leftist wing of their party. It should not have been up to a 17 year old man to take up the law and order function they abdicated, but that was the sad and sorry case, and so it was that Rittenhouse, single handed, stopped the Kenosha riots and brought to a grinding halt almost all of the riots around the nation.

When rioters know that deadly force will be used to repel their rampaging destruction, then they’ll stop rioting.
When invaders at our southern border know that deadly force will be used to repel their invasion, then they’ll stop invading.
It is very sad that things must be this way. No one should want to kill. But innocent lives must be protected, whether from BLM and Antifa rioters or from drug lord and gangster invaders.
There is only one thing that has ever worked throughout history, can work and ever will work… Deterrence.
Start putting illegal entrants into the country on a plane and bring them back to their home country. That would bring unlawful entry to an end.
