Francis doesn’t give a damn, at this point in his reign. He’ll do what he pleases and he’s demonstrated what he’ll do to any prelate who doesn’t toe the line. As for the Pew Meat, he couldn’t care less what we think. We’re just there to be alternately hectored and patronized, and pay handsomely for the privilege.
The only group whose opinion matters to Francis is the secular media— and they approve of him.
I’m guessing Francis is pretty pleased with how things are going for him thus far. I’m also guessing that when his reign is over, his Performance Evaluation will be rather harrowing…
Agree with Clinton. He has shown himself too prideful to have a cabinet of rivals and is left with affirming sycophants…or in modern parlance I think it’s called a synod of accompaniment.
The past ten years of this man should make it clear that he has few regrets.
Such documents are merely the more formal version of the confusion down by his interviews.
Lack of clarity is his brand. Reversal at this point would be nothing short of a miracle – certainly one I would rejoice to see.
