McCanna Sinise, the son of Gary Sinise and his wife Moira, has died at age 33 after a five and a half year battle with cancer that attacked his spinal column. Throughout his ordeal his Catholic faith sustained him, and as we are all commanded to do, he picked up his Cross and followed Christ:

The Sineses are Catholic converts, go here to read about it. We Catholics are a family. Sometimes a quarrelsome family, but a family nonetheless. I hope all of us will pray for the soul of McCanna Sinise, who by my lights went through a Purgatory of sorts here on Earth and bore himself well, and his poor parents. There are few griefs as deep as losing a child, and they will need our prayers.
Rest up in Eternal Peace McCanna. How terribly sad. Prayers for the family. Gary Sinise should find comfort that he raised a Son who loved Our Lord.
