February 23, 1945: Flag Raisings on Mount Suribachi

Not too long after the flag raising, Holy Mass was offered on Mt. Suribachi. (I hope the photo uploaded properly.) Looking at the expressions on everyone’s face, I think this is one of those times where a picture genuinely is worth a thousand words.
