A better comparison might be the boss’s spoiled son.

It’s not really his company, but he acts like it is.

The mothballed title Vicar of Christ should encourage a pope to remember that the Church is not his, but His.

The Priest at the altar represents his people and Jesus Christ. The Pastor, his parishioners and Jesus Christ; the Bishop his diocesan participants and Jesus Christ and the Pope, all the peope of the world from Adam on down to the end of time and Jesus Christ. Wear your best for us before God.
