Isn’t Deutschland Synodality grand?

The video was very good, Donald. The worst part about all this isn’t, however, the Germans. It’s that few if anyone in today’s generation would recognize the reference that the woman made at the end and the man’s response:

“Charles, I can’t believe you’re advocating a Carthaginian peace.”

“…I must remind you the world hasn’t had much trouble with Carthage in the past…”

No one at my place of employment where the smartest minds in the nuclear power industry work would recognize that reference, and no one in my family except for my older brother and younger sister, and they would recognize it only because they have heard me say so often, “Carthago delenda est,” when we’re talking about the Democrats and abortion.

Our abysmal ignorance enables this whole sad situation.

In America all free lands, waterways and public spaces belong to each and every citizen in joint and common tenancy; you own it all and I own it all, because taxes from the people have bought and paid for them.
If in fact this is true of Germany and I believe it to be so, then the government is usurping the public property of the citizens and trying to control how the people live on their own property. Sounds like totalitarianism. Abortion sounds like genocide.

A proposed law banning public prayer in front of Death Camps.

A proposed law banning public prayer or reading from Scripture in public… would follow suit… then the dominos start to fall….

A proposed law banning Church attendance.

A proposed law banning private prayer.

A proposed law banning non-conforming speech.

A proposed law banning life after 70 years of age.

Germany?
America?

Sadly true LQC. Note also the reference to Barbarossa, the nickname of Holy Roman Emperor Frederick I of the twelfth century. Back in the forties movie creators could count on their viewers knowing basic history.

Fairly sure my handsomely educated parents would have had to check the encyclopedia in re Holy Roman emperor other than Charles V. The midpoint of their schooling was around 1944.

Note, abusive legislation of this sort you find all over the occidental world. Nothing peculiar to the German states.

Ridiculous. What’s becoming obvious is that we are living in times where new laws are being plucked out of the lawmakers behinds, which have NOTHING to do with ensuring public law and order.

Apparently Musk has implanted the first human with a brain chip. So are we headed towards mind control where the wrong THOUGHT is punishable by the law? Is that our future? It’s insane and noone in power is calling out the insanity.
