I feel that we are on the eve of a new era, when there is to be great harmony between the Federal and Confederate. I cannot stay to be a living witness to the correctness of this prophecy; but I feel it within me that it is to be so. The universally kind feeling expressed for me at a time when it was supposed that each day would prove my last, seemed to me the beginning of the answer to “Let us have peace.”
Ulysses S. Grant, Conclusion of his Personal Memoirs, completed days before his death in 1885. Confederate and Union officers rode together in Grant’s funeral procession.
The great lesson of the Civil War is that we are one people. The Left does not believe that we are one people, and the nation may pay a dreadful price for their attempt to destroy the United States of America, or to transform it into something unrecognizable.
May the future inhabitants of America, post Civil War II, study these dark times. Times in which a great number of people turned their backs on God and celebrated perversity but called it diversity.
They tore apart the foundations of the Sacred by destroying God’s great gift of Life in the womb. They called it healthcare. They blinded themselves with false God worship and called it Green initiatives. They disrespected the past, ignored history and repeated grievous mistakes that ended up costing lives, property and prosperity. They substituted Peace and good will towards men for Chaos and brutality. The anti-facist we’re anything but anti-facist.
When God fearing Americans survive the war and continue to honor God in the aftermath of Civil war II, may they know that we, the one’s that didn’t survive, are by their side. We the patriots that didn’t hide nor cave into a society that elevates evil as calls it good. That our spirit will join with them to rebuild the America that their ancestors helped shape through their sacrifice and love for God and neighbor.
May God protect and reclaim the Republic.
Divide and conquer… A sound, time-tested strategy.
They’ve been cramming it down our throats.
Rich vs. poor.
People of color vs. the privileged whites.
Oppressive misogynists vs. reproductive rights.
LGBTQIA+ vs. cis.
Mostly peaceful arsonists vs. insurrectionists.
Trump supporters vs. democracy.
Enlightened atheists vs. backward-thinking religious fanatics.
Objective truth vs. MY truth.
Green vs. climate deniers.
Vaxed vs. unvaxed.
… Why not bring back South vs. North?
Hmmm. During his Presidency, Barack Obama signed an Executive Order which renamed Mt McKinley as Mt Denali. Such move was hailed by many on the Left as better honoring the diverse groups of people who have contributed to the United States.
…Precisely how honoring the existence of another group of people contributed to being one nation has never been at all clear.
We have been, and are, indeed, repeating history.
Pray we come to our senses before many souls will be gravely threatened.
Yep. Just like equality is a thing of the past. And reconciliation can be used as a tool for maintaining oppression of minorities. It’s altogether predictable at this point.
If any references to the Civil War/Confederacy should be removed from public spaces, why not also remove any references in history books? Perhaps every mention of slavery should also be scrubbed to avoid disturbing the sensitive. Let’s pretend none of it happened.
Maybe there is a graveyard for all these beautiful monuments where historians and tourists can view them and appreciate the art? Not just Confederate monuments, the Left/Marxists seem to be against all sorts of fine art and any person or group that is truly American.
All public monuments belong to each and every citizen in joint and common tenancy. Tearing down something that belongs to others is a sign of totalitarianism.
