Well, I can say that I’ve been to 40 States and and four other countries.
People living in New England states are more likely to travel to neighboring states on a routine basis…. (duh)
Liars lie and use easy stats to do it
Great reply, Foxfier. 👍
Most people probably have only a vague idea of relative distances outside of their usual traveling radius. Ordinary folks thus can be excused for not realizing, for example, that the driving distance between Seattle, WA and Bar Harbor, ME is about 100 miles MORE than the driving distance between Lisbon, Portugal and Moscow, Russia, which traverses seven or eight European countries, depending on the route. But Pew ought to know better, and realize what an absurd point they are making. 🤦🏻♂️

Yeah, but what about those Aussies? Good on them!
People who have an inflated sense of their own importance are more likely to come off as insufferable boobs than those people whose perspectives are sufficiently well balanced.
Zeitgeist: Traveling is bad and ruins the environment.
Also Zeitgeist: You’re a terrible person if you haven’t visited other countries.
Pinky- it’s not really a choice when you are at the bum end of the world 😂 Mind you, the expanse of Australia is big. It’s cheaper to go to Fiji or Bali or SE Asia than travel around Australia, for obvious reasons.
I would imagine in the US that you could travel from North to South and East to West and the experience would be completely different across the spectrum ie. Weather, food, landscape, demographics and even culture…
I’ve been to 8 x countries and in my neck-of-the-woods 3 States and 1 Territory (There are 6 x States and 2 x Territories in Australia)
Let’s see. Living in a remote archipeligo at the bottom of the South Pacific. I have travelled to Oz(lived there for 10 years), Eastern Russia (Vladivostok), Canada (BC & Vanc.Island) Washington State USA, England, Scotland & Wales, & passed through LAX, HongKong, Holland & Sth.Korea. Love to travel more – Holy Land & Europe – but in retirement, the funds don’t appear as regularly as when you’re in business.
Just one other country for me Don, Canada. Fourteen states and the District of Columbia. My Bride, before we met, went on European trips twice. When I was young I lacked the funds to travel and now that I am old I lack the time.
