It’s been a tough ride, but maybe just maybe the Lord asked Benedict to resign to effect an end result.
This may very well mark more than a bad pope escapade.
An end to (il) liberal catholicism.
A return to Tradition.
Revenge for the dubia. It may be that the Pope’s advisors have demanded this revenge.

Let us pray that the next conclave does not hold the view that any of the red hats are interchangeable with the one white and exercise great care in casting their ballots. The Church has had quite enough instances of drama and contention during this papacy and deserves to pass into calmer waters.
