No coincidence here. Just a simple nudge and hug from above.
Confronting the communist culture has it’s rewards. BIG hint pf.

The recent unveiling of Francis’ lukewarm attitude toward the Mass is not surprising, IMO. For years it has been noted that he tends to scowl at the Blessed Sacrament when he kinda sorta elevates it after the prayer of consecration. No look of wonder or awe or love such as I have seen on the faces of faithful priests over my 18 years as a Catholic. (That’s one advantage, maybe the only one in my book, of “versus populum” celebration.) Sometimes I wonder if he even believes in the Sacrament itself, which in turn might explain his attitude toward the Liturgy. Is there any record of his preaching or writing in unambiguous terms about the Real Presence? I honestly don’t know, nor have I the time to waste trying to find out.

He believes..I believe.
In a homily given by our priest, an important point regarding returning criticism for having received criticism, our dear Father mentioned the loss and the gains of merit and it’s eternal consequences thereof. His resources to support his point were rooted in very treasured texts by our beloved Saints. Unfortunately I didn’t take notes, however his point was our reactions, our communications, our dispositions concerning superiors within our Church needs to be carefully in check in order that we don’t hinder our neighbors advancement nor impede our own sanctification as we dissect the behaviors of others. Granted, if heretical seeds are being planted by the gardener the magisterium must act.
Overall the less criticism the better from my standpoint.
I know that I have, and continue too, criticize when I should be praying for his/their souls.
Everyone must choose for themselves of course.
He and we all need graces.
May we not squander them.
Apparently Francis attends a daily Mass but not as celebrant. Seems appropriate. Many people who do not accept all the Truths of the faith do show up at Mass sometimes.
A very moving photo. I miss them both. St JP2 cold barely walk at the time of WYD Toronto. Yet they managed to get him onstage infront of thousands of young people and he celebrated Mass in its entirety. I can only imagine the pain he was in. It’s a memory I will always hold dear to my heart.
