PopeWatch: Synods

This monstrosity of the Pope has nothing to with either Synods in the East or the West.  It is simply a platform for utter crap like this:

I imagine even Satan is baffled by the path to destruction Pope Francis has chosen for the Church.

This is the word salad Jesuit-speak nonsense of the over educated theological elites.

Wonderful words but not one word of God, or the Holy Spirit. Words of a secular world and corporate jargon. Jargon of an atheist.

Yes Mary and Mark.
Please don’t allow your peace be disturbed during this flogging.
Remember…we are in the crucifixion event.
Pray hard.

And the way to communion and non-fractured society is holiness. Turning away from sin – not trying to get your flavor of alphabet blessed

Words were designed by the Creator to describe and convey truth. The Enemy uses them for the opposite reason and is this rightfully called the Father of Lies. This is so much true that the Word spoken by the Father is the Truth, without any diminishing of that which is communicated by the Father.

Those who contort words and meanings are not using them for the purpose for which they were created, or for which God intended. Do not abandon the Truth, and pray for such people who have, and for protection from such people!

Communion is the very power in this room…

Communion is not per se a virtue; the virtue of communion is entirely dependent on the object of that communion. To have communion in Christ is a good thing, but one can just as easily be in communion with the devil. Hence St. Paul’s warnings in 1 Corinthians 10 about how one cannot drink the chalice of the Lord and the chalice of demons.

A modern world that tends toward both homogenizing things and fracturing things…

She’s not wrong, but the irony is not lost on me that this critique is precisely what the synod is aiming at, by homogenizing the church with the world in terms of issues that either parrot or provide cover for the current zeitgeist of a decaying hegemon, and by creating rupture both in the church of the present and even more so with the entirety of its past.

Even withing the inner workings of the church one sees this process in play: What could be a better example of homogenization than Traditionis Custodes which flat out proclaims that a single rite is the only expression of the Latin rite irrespective of history, antiquity, reality? And what better example of fracturing than its needless cruelty which only serves the aforementioned homogenization?

Communion is a language of beauty, a harmony of unity and plurality.

If communion without a specific object is a language, then it’s a language without meaning at best and Babel at worst. The only way unity and plurality can be in harmony is if they have the same teleology, as a person is a unified whole with a plurality of parts. This harmony requires a delimitation of what can constitute that greater whole, just as harmony in music cannot include just any notes without turning into dissonance.

The non-response to Diane Montagna’s essential question about truly discerning the Holy Spirit tells you all you need to know.

This “synod” is to the Christian faith what Frankenstein’s monster was to Adam. It’s just an established term used as cover. This farce is inspired by and serves only the party in power.

It is also worth noting that Metropolitan Getcha is as ecumenical as they come. So when he is sounding warning bells, it is especially noteworthy.

Not that the papal party gives a hoot. The non-Catholic invitees are just proof of how awesomely open minded it is.

The Almighty blesses us with bad Popes from time to time in order that we may better appreciate the mediocre but inoffensive ones.

Amen to all here. MarkM, you nailed my initial reaction: I saw that “Professor’s” sentence and immediately thought, “Are the Jesuits already admitting women?” And if you want even more amusement, check out this hagiographic blurb from the place that actually employs her to teach others, God help us:

Prof Anna Rowlands is the holder of the St Hilda Chair in Catholic Social Thought and Practice. She is a political theologian who works at the interface of political and social theory and Christian theology.”

A “political theologian.” Well, I suppose we should be grateful for their honesty on that point. Meanwhile, Augustine and Aquinas must be laughing uproariously. I’ll stop now, my next confession is getting complicated already. 😉

There is “communion” and “unity” between the LGBTQIA perversions gang. just as their was also “communion” between Adolph’s Germany, Tojo’s Japan, and Mussolini’s Italy.
Unless the purpose for such unity is honestly aimed at doing God’s goodness, then the door is open to the demonic.

Gone are the ages when the Church went into the world to change it. Now the world comes into the church and repays the favor.

Donald Link is correct: “The Almighty blesses us with bad Popes from time to time in order that we may better appreciate the mediocre but inoffensive ones.”

I despise this Pontificate as much as I do the feminism of Professor Anna Rowlands. I miss Pope St. JP II and Pope B XVI so very much.

There have undoubtedly been bad Popes in the past, but their shortcomings have been primarily in the field of personal sinful behavior or lifestyles. We are now faced with a Pope, backed by an apparent majority of Bishops and Cardinals, who is determined to change the doctrine and dogmas of the Church. Truth is not determined by centuries, but remains the same yesterday and today. I cannot accept the proposition that God has any part in inflicting this abomination on his Church. What to do about this man and his followers, I do not know. As a feeble old man, I can do little. I do expect that God expects us to do more than pray, although this is essential. May he send us someone in the mold of the Saint a Paul.
