Maybe JPII is predicting his abandonment of the Communists and Cardinal is laughing it off.
Most of us, if confronted with our future, would be highly skeptical.
What would you tell your 2013 self, and would you believe it?
Without knowing too much about him, it seems he made the same mistake as some of the apostles, and thinking that Jesus came to establish an earthly kingdom. He also seems to have ignored centuries of Catholic tradition on the interior life. Any “revolution” is interior, even if manifested by our exterior works.
That took courage to do what JP2 did!
I can’t think of a single global “leader” active today who has the guts to wave their finger and reprimand those perpetuating falsehoods and evil. They are all too concerned with safeguarding their positions of power and afraid to upset the stud quo.
