PopeWatch: On the Phone

Secretary:  Don, that nut who says he is the Pope is on the phone again!

PopeWatch:  Holiness?

PF:  Gringo, why do you Americans hate me so much?

PopeWatch:  I think hate is too strong in most cases Holiness.  Rather many American Catholics are confused by your actions and fear for the Church as a result.

PF:  Isn’t it true that you gringoes dislike me because I am an Argentinian?

PopeWatch:   No Holiness.  Most Americans go their entire lives thinking very little of Argentina.

PF:  Isn’t it true that many of my American enemies are conservatives?

PopeWatch;  There you are on stronger ground Holiness.  But most American Catholics don’t expect the Pope to be an American conservative.  They are dismayed when the Pope is a Leftist.

PF:  But I am not a Leftist!  I am a centrist Peronist!

PopeWatch:  When it comes to politics Holiness I am reminded of the late George Carlin who noted that other drivers on the road were either slow pokes or speed maniacs.  We tend to assume that we are in the reasonable center, no matter what the reality actually is.

PF:  Was this Carlin a philosopher?

PopeWatch:  No Holiness, he was a comedian which is the closest most Americans get to philosophy.

PF:  If I live to the age of Noah, I will never understand you gringoes!  Pause.  What could I do to improve my popularity with Americans?

PopeWatch:  Resign?

And with that the conversation ended abruptly.

Comedy is the closest Americans get to philosophy because there can be no true love of wisdom without a sense of humor. I think that helps explain why the pope, like any true leftist, hates America.

If he’s a centrist, it would be dead middle of the left – only center for him.
We need a POPE speak out and warn us about secular dangers. He embraces them and marches the Church forward. Minting coins in commemoration of it sometimes! 😑
If a bad priest is a punishment for faithful, then a very bad pope means they didn’t do what they were supposed to (hint McCarrick).
(My suggestion was to buy Epstein island, bulldoze it all and put up huts for priests/offenders to work rest of days in penance. I guess that’s not making it to the Synod)

Resigning might help. Removing the red hats from some problematic cardinals first would probably do it.

I’m pasting this recent post for his holiness sake.

It is a very good start for him. Explains what a Pope should know, love and defend;

It’s not so much that he’s is a “centrist” or not, that bothers me. It is that 90% of his teaching and comments are secular and worldly, thus hardly the characteristic of a spiritual shepherd. This in a world where most of the sheep are straying and the demonic wolves are having a feast.
