Diatomaceous earth will undo the whole nest or honey and borax. The commercial ant traps are corn syrup and borax. Take a can opened with a tiny hole and add the honey/borax and leave near the ant entrance. The ants will go to heaven happy.

Ants are hard working creatures. They also work as a team. Watch a trail of ants and their ability to gather crumbs and communicate to each other is mind blowing. We could learn much from ants.
