Ms. Huang is of Chinese ancestry. During their war against China which lasted from 1937-1945, the forces of the Empire of Japan killed about eighteen million Chinese civilians. No one one truly knows how many additional tens of millions of additional Chinese civilians died of famines caused by the occupation of a substantial part of China by Japan and the Japanese stripping those regions of much of their food resources. Among many other intensely evil ramifications caused by Japanese aggression in Asia, that was stopped courtesy of the US atomic bombings.

The use of the ‘BIPOC’ acronym is an enormous tell that the user has drunk deeply of the kool aid and a strong indication that the next thing out of their mouth is going to be absurd.
Mr. Huang is no exception.
MSNBC presented a puff piece on Oppenheimer yesterday evening. The proper amount of angst about the man but not much about the conditions of the war in Asia that prompted the bomb’s use. I, like many others, would have preferred targeting what few military targets in Japan were left. but it is understandable, if not condoned, that the allies took the same position toward civilians that the Japanese took.
My late beloved dad was a WWII vet who served in Europe toward the end of the war. They returned to the States and were given leave, with orders to report to San Diego to ship out to Japan. He said they all knew it was a death sentence. When news of the bomb was announced, he said the overwhelming emotion was relief… and gratitude.
The Japanese super battleships the Yamato and the Musashi were built at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Yamato at Hiroshima and the Musashi at Nagasaki. From what I’ve read and heard there was no neat distinction between military war production factories and civilian populations. It was in part a dispersed cottage industry. The jet stream above Japan complicated aerial bombing. The first early US precision smart bombs and missiles were in their infancy during WWII mostly towards the end of the war. The Norden bombsight worked much better on bombing test ranges than it did in real world combat use. The Navy had to give up on it and use dive bombers and skip bombers. The vast majority of bombs were dumb gravity bombs. In a mechanized war you fight the war with the industrial infrastructure that you have. Civilian production is converted to military production. The USA was fortunate that the Atlantic and Pacific oceans spared the US from large scale Axis military operations. If we did a study I wonder how easy it would have been to separate USA military production and civilian population centers? There is a series on YouTube that covers war factories and the role that they played in WWII. Supply chain logistics played a major role in WWII.
Yes war is bad.
The principle of self-defense is predicated on using the power of attorney of the aggressor which he has jettisoned to bring him (the aggressor) back into the moral state of affairs. The aggressor cannot be moral and immoral at the same time. Therefore, being immoral, the aggressor loses the sovereign personhood he enjoyed as an innocent person. And with his sovereign personhood, the unjust aggressor loses his endowed civil rights by which he was blessed.
Aquinas’ description of a just war is a war that has a chance of success. Not so. Lepanto and our war for Independence prove otherwise.
The aggressor goes to war believing he can and will win. Using the unjust aggressor’s power of attorney against him gives self-defense the power to win.
August 6th will again bring the atomic bomb into focus. Never does one hear of the thousands of leaflets dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki warning the inhabitants to leave two weeks before the bomb.
Those bad Allies will not lay down and die for our rotten aggression. Lie, slander, and calumniate those soldiers dying for truth and freedom. Hirohito, the god tyrant and aggressor does not want rosaries.
The Allies did not know how bad it was until they liberated the concentration camps and found thousands of dead, emaciated, and imprisoned people. There were 15,000 concentration camps. You do the math.
Hitler adopted Margaret Sanger’s eugenics program. If it weren’t for World War II the American people would be suffering back in 1945 as they are now through Margaret Sanger’s abortion policies.
Death, war, hunger, and pestilence, the Four Horseman of the Apocalyse. It is hard to assume the power of attorney of a criminal and act in his stead, but it is necessary for the good of all in self-defense and deterrence of worse evil. If God wishes to deliver us from evil, let us thank Him for His goodness and divine Providence, as called for in our Declaration of Independence.
