Sound of Freedom

Gods’ children are not for sale.

I haven’t seen the film yet, but it seems to be turning into phenomenon.  Call Me Chato, in the review above, and his guest Screen Doctor, loved the film.  Both these men are television and film veterans and judged the film solely on its entertainment value.  Spoilers alert for the video.

On a production budget for 14.5 million the film has passed 53 million.  Jim Caviezel may have another Passion of the Christ blockbuster on his hands.

Slavery never truly dies but comes back under new guises.  The international trade in human trafficking is one such guise, helped on by too many Leftists who view the sex trade as morally harmless.  The sex trade treats people as if they are commodities.  There is nothing harmless about it, and it is merely one aspect of a growing trend to treat humans as if they are property.

My wife and I saw it on July 4. A powerful film. I recommend to everyone.

“A powerful film.” My thoughts exactly. In particular, there is a scene about redemption that perfectly sums up our faith. You walk out of this movie asking God to help you, in whatever small way available to you, to be the solution and not the problem. For me, He delivered the very next day. God is so good.

I haven’t seen a single story on the networks about this movie. Granted, I don’t see every broadcast on every channel every day. But you/’d think by now I would have seen one story.

Wife and I saw it on Tuesday and it is a powerful film. Well done, no clunky “God’s Not Dead” dialogue or beating dead horse tropes. Just a story about a guy trying to save kids and it sticks to facts and even underplays some. There is no real way to portray the actual horror of child sex trafficking, like “Saving Private Ryan” did for combat. Yet what they did is unnerving enough to churn your stomach, and that’s likely why Disney shelved the movie for five years. Those in darkness want to keep things in the dark.

Having been made, the film was shelved for five years. It has been denounced by Rolling Stone and The Guardian. I’m beginning to think the establishment in this country really is shot through with pedos

AD: A deeper dig into the dark side of Hollywood might prove informing. Several attempts have been made in the past to write about the subject but they seem to have short life spans in obscure publications.

“I’m beginning to think the establishment in this country really is shot through with pedos.”
Same here. And it has to have been that way for a long time.
The “drive-by media” at this point are simply chanting “lalala I can’t hear you” with hands over their ears. They can’t kill this one by ignoring it, as they so often do with stories their bosses don’t like. Another brick in the wall of restoring cultural sanity is being placed, and the left are apoplectic. Good. Let there be no doubt as to who is on which side here.

I work for a Catholic media outlet in Central Indiana. We recently interviewed a lady who is involved with obtaining/building housing for kids rescued from the sex trafficking system. She says that too many times, these kids are cycled back into foster care which, while there are a good many loving, faith-filled foster homes, is also the source for 60% of all trafficked kids.

She said that it is families who are the biggest traffickers, and the affluent are a larger proportion that the poor. It is most likely that if you are in a higher-than-median-income neighborhood, parish or workplace, you know at least one person who is involved, even without knowing they are involved. She also said that more women are traffickers than men, although it may be that the men are the silent “bosses.”

Shocking and disturbing.

Alfred Kinsey paid fathers $7,000 to rape their daughters. The rapist holds that he is doing the victim a great favor and that there is no harm done. Some rapist carry knives to cut themselves out of a dead baby’s body.
Giving cedibility to MainStreamMedia is throwing pearls before swine.
Dear God
Every time a pedophile wants to hurt a child, one of Your children, hit him with a bolt of lightening and turn him into a heap of ashes.
Thank you Lord

In my neck of the woods the only movie complex on the NNK, 40 miles away, is taking reservations online. The film is that popular. Friends who have seen say it is not graphic so don’t be deterred; but the horror of trackficking comes across. Several of prime time FOX shows have covered the movie positively and noted that drive by media is either ignoring or panning the film. The demand is great for interviews with the actors and writers, producer, others behind the scenes.
My husband and I plan to see it.
