I was using hyperbole, but I think the FMG remains a problem. A good hunk of the medical community has dollar signs, not health/wellness, in their sites. I am not sure how those who promote “pronouns” and puberty blockers and “identify as” can reasonably block FMG among certain (mostly Muslim) groups.

We did have a law here in Michigan regarding that; not entirely sure of the status at this point. The Dems in Lansing have proposed some kind of “access to trans affirming care” law that is almost certain to go through. I don’t see how anyone can complain if Muslims decide to “circumcise” their young daughters at this point.

Absolutely. And to add homosexuality and paedophilia is an issue amongst the muslim elite but done in secrecy. Islam will always be about spreading Islam. Period.

Our own catholic bishops have pretty much abandoned the majority of children who cannot afford to attend private school.

Government is a public servant. Public schools belong to the publlic. Put it on the ballot if it helps. All citizens pay taxes for their children to be educated according to their parents wishes. Secular means everybody. If the school does not follow our Founding Principles, the one calling for divine Providence and the one calling for “We, the people…”, it is time for the school to be defunded.

There are a LOT of parents who wish this. Our once reasonably conservative (now very purple) town had the chance to put three solid “parental rights” on the school board. Whom did the voters select? Two experienced board members who had overseen our district going hard DEI and a new board member who is very pro-union, DEI, Social emotional learning.
Regarding the medical community going after trans dollars: Matt Walsh and his people did an undercover investigation into trans surgeries being “rubber stamped.”

Forgive me for being mean spiritied, but let the two groups – Muslims and liberals – fight it out between themselves. They are both enemies. Maybe fighting between themselves will weaken them. Yeah, I know, not very kind of me.
Where did we ever get the idea that the public schools have to be secular? The Constitutional provisions concerning religious establishment were intended to restrict the federal government, and only the federal government. Every other level of government was free to do as it pleased. In my State, we had an established church until the 1820’s. Closer to my own time, we had Bible reading as part of the public-school curriculum, and each school day opened with a prayer —usually a generic Christian one, reflecting the beliefs of the actual PUBLIC. The federal judiciary committed a crime when it imposed secularism on all the nation’s schools.
Female Genital Mutilation for child and adult women should be outlawed everywhere as should child trans surgeries.
FGM is a cruel practice. The circumcisum surgery can cause a lifetime of pain, infection, sterility, embarrassment and shame. I am sure it is practiced in muslim communities in the civilized countries of US, Canada, UK and Europe on the QT.
