My late Father-in-Law, a tough Navy veteran of World War II who attempted to teach me about plumbing without success, alas, was away from the Church for decades. All during that time he retained a devotion to the Sacred Heart. He died 36 years ago, having been reconciled to the Church and receiving the Last Rites. The answer to what the world needs above all else is always Christ.
