The All-American Sport

I used to think years ago that people predicting open persecution of Catholics were fools.  Live long enough and “fools” sometimes turn out to be right.

I wonder what would have happened if they tried pulling this crap when Tommy Lasorda was manager of the team.

What “life saving work” has SPI done “tirelessly for decades”?
.
That is not a snarky question (well, maybe a little.) I am simply curious what hospitals they fund, cancer research they support, you know, that kind of thing.

On the FBI’s list.
Pregnancy centers and Church’s openly vandalized.
Openly mocked in name of diversity.

I wonder if the Dodgers organization intentionally waited until both Tommy Lasorda (d. January 2021) and Vin Scully (d. August 2022) were gone from this Vale of Tears before pulling this stunt. Maybe they knew that it would (perhaps literally) have broken those men’s hearts to see their beloved team do this. They might as well be taking a dump on their graves — and on their VERY heavily Hispanic fan base. Scully, by the way, recorded an audio Rosary for Immaculate Heart Radio:

As for the allegedly “life saving work” that SPI does, such as it is, it probably involves HIV/AIDS prevention and/or mental health counseling for LGBTQ+ individuals, but in a metro area the size of LA, there have got to be other organizations that provide these services without parading around in fake nun habits, which the Dodgers could recognize if they insist on having a Pride Night. For the record, it appears that the ONLY MLB team that has not, to date, had a Pride Night event is the Texas Rangers.

Any real Catholic players on the team or any team willing to take a stand? Doubtful.

I don’t see how any man worth the title could take the field after this filth has desecrated it.

Elaine- those fake nuns have a prominent presence in Sydney and they appear every year on floats mocking our Faith at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.

As far as their “charity works” extends, that’s laughable, and doesn’t come close to what the Catholic Church has done for HIV/AIDS patients since the epidemic hit gay men in the 1980’s. The Sisters of Charity were the first ones to look after gay men who were dying of AIDS in the 1980’s. The first HIV/AIDS Ward to open up in Australia was Ward 17 South at St Vincent’s Catholic hospital in Sydney back from 1984.

The Indulgence mob mock the Sisters of Charity every year on parade floats as a thank you for looking after their “people” during the AIDS epidemic. Even when their own families shunned and ostracised them.

Where is the apology for the mockery these Sisters of Charity receive from the indulgence mob?! Shameful.

DJH, it could be referring to the idea that if one doesn’t affirm someone in the LGBTQ community as they wish to be affirmed, then it is entirely logical, albeit tragic, that they commit suicide. Thus, their blood is on your hands, while pushing to normalize anything and affirm everything in the LGBTQ community is ‘live saving work.’ That argument was recently made in a transgender rights appearance at the state house here in the Buckeye State. I, personally, think sanctioning the idea that failure to be affirmed must logically lead to suicide has had a disastrous impact on our youth and children today. But that’s just me.

Why do Catholics, or any professed Christians, keep patronizing these evil sports teams? If Catholics raised as much cain as these pervert organizations do, you might see a difference. But no, the majority will be there cheering their team on. We live in an increasingly perverted and evil society with a degraded culture.
