1. Take their security clearances away.
Tell them (especially Obama), that if they want goons protecting them, they hire private security and pay for them out of pocket. Henry Kissinger went into the consulting business (he denies lobbying) to be able to afford a security detail for his wife.
BTW, from 1975 to 1994, Jacqueline Onassis shlepped around Manhattan with no more security than that provided by her building’s doorman. My sister was tangentially acquainted with her son when they were both living in Providence, RI. John Kennedy Jr. had no security detail. Richard Nixon and his wife had no security detail from 1986 to 1994. Bess Truman’s detail (1972-82) consisted of one man in a car parked outside her house. The home of Richard Daley when he was Mayor of Chicago was protected by a single city police officer. All of our presidents should lose their publicly funded details 12 years after leaving office. That means everyone prior to Obama. Obama should lose his detail because he disgraced himself in office and because of his brobingnagian buckraking out of office.
Let’s see how many rank and file Democrats leave the party over this. I’ll give them a month, and then will consider all remaining Democrats to be baby murdering traitors.
