Had a quick little Google- the Mayor of Minneapolis- Jacob Frey. Is he not a Jew? A Jewish Mayor approving a public Islamic call to prayer. It’s the twilight zone. Crikey.
Greater Minneapolis splays over 7 counties with a population of 3.15 million. About 50,000 list an ancestry which is typically Muslim. There might be a few thousand more from the domestic black population. So, they bend over backwards for 1.7% of the population. Note, the political party which is an extension of the National Education Association has one answer to evangelicals who’d like to opt out of the schools the NEA controls without severe opportunity coasts, and that answer is f.u.
Given his personal history and expressed views, Frey actually compares favorably to the city council and to his predecessor, Betsy Hodges.
