When The Idiots in Chicago Stop Electing Democrats

I have lived in Illinois all my 66 years.  The last Republican mayor of Chicago left office 26 years before I was born.  The Democrat party is now a collection of racists, crazies, socialists and yellow dog Democrats.  You vote for it, you get it, good and hard.  No wonder Chicago is losing population.  The recent mayoral election demonstrated that there is no hope of any reform from within the Democrat party.  Let Chicago sink into the swamp from whence it came, and let the sane part of Illinois break away and form a new state.

End stage (or near end stage) sexual “liberation” and welfare.

End stage (or near end stage) sexual “liberation” and welfare.

About 5% of the population was collecting AFDC in 1992. About 0.7% is collecting TANF today. ‘Welfare’ isn’t causing this problem. What social research on the topic indicates the young are canoodling less than they did a generation ago. About 70% of the births to black women in 2021 were out of wedlock; the figure in 1990 was 68%. The black population in Chicago is proportionately smaller than it was 40 years ago and a visible minority among them favored Paul Vallas. If anything, a majority of Hispanic voters in Chicago favored Vallas. You have this clown Johnson heading into office because a critical mass of asinine white people voted for him. Now look north to Minneapolis. Ilhan Omar represents a white majority district; in one of her recent races, her primary challenger was a button-down black lawyer with a wife and children; I think he won about 40% of the vote. For 60 years, roughly 3/4 of the black population has been voting with their upraised middle finger. That’s regrettable, but they’re still only 13% of the population. You have characters like Johnson in office because they can get 35% or 40% of the non-black population to vote for them. Racial chauvinism does not explain their voting behavior. Fashion might. A complete misunderstanding of day-to-day social relations might. A desire to see the world burn might.

It will end when the people in the neighborhood have no one left to blame and take responsibility.
(Difficult. Not only do you have the idea of perpetual victim as source of identity and power psychology to overcome, you have a media and an entire political party that is opposed to that happening.)

America used to be a Christian nation. It no longer is. Christians believe in objective truth and do a better job than anyone else at holding on to truth when it is knowable. For the most part, that is gone in our cities. And, I mostly blame the leadership of the Catholic Church. For all intents and purposes it has been AWOL on almost every single important social issue for the last 50 years. And, it has done its best to drive men away from the faith. It has turned itself into nothing more than a liberal NGO in the eyes of many. This year, my diocese put out a whole program on white guilt (ie: purported systemic racism). It is nothing more than racism against white people. Not surprisingly, its authors are all from the University of Dayton, a formerly Catholic university. I’m ashamed of my bishop. What a coward. I don’t believe that he believes the tripe he’s peddling, but I’m certain he is too cowardly to stand up to the race hustlers, black and white, he employs at the chancery. They would tell you that racism is the cause of what is shown in the above videos. Everyone, and I mean everyone, knows the above is due to the absence of God in the lives of those committing these crimes. We have lots of laws, what we need is more faith in Christ, who is the way, the truth and the life. Christ is the answer.

Most of them were probably convinced that voting for someone (Vallas) who was “personally opposed” to abortion, had a past history of working with and saying nice things about icky Republicans, and — horror of horrors! — actually supported school choice (the kryptonite of teacher’s unions) was just way too high a price to pay for public safety and order.

I think you’re crediting them with more of an inclination to deliberate than they ever manifest in their mundane lives.

The Chicago Teachers Union controls the Chicago Democrat Party. Thus, their former chief organizer wins easily. I wonder what Mike Royko would have to say about the slow, painful death of Chicago?

He didn’t win easily. And it was not a Democratic primary, though all but one of the candidates was a registered Democrat.

when there are no sane individuals left in the cities to vote for the truly best choice, this is what you get. Let it burn. Just need another lamp and a cow on a windy day.

Given that the video of the WalMart is from 2020’s Summer of Fire, I’m astonished that the corporation re-opened the store afterward.

But now it’s going to be gone for good. Sorry, minority of Chicago voters–you knew the stakes and did the right thing. Now it’s time to pull up stakes while you can still rustle a halfway decent price for your homes. But you’d better do it quick.

“End stage family breakdown” might have been more accurate, but I main that my original post is accurate enough. There is a lot more to welfare than just TANF and what the gov’t hands out.

I’m afraid family breakdown has been characteristic of every segment of society; white people have higher illegitimacy rates than black people did in 1965. The homicide rate in Chicago is 8x what it is in Chicago’s suburbs. The homicide rate in Chicago’s suburbs isn’t very different from what it was 60 years ago.

As for ‘welfare’, the largest components are Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, public education, veterans’ benefits in about that order. Public education and veterans’ benefits existed a century ago. As for the remainder, what are you thinking, that it’s granny out there trying to break into the Art Institute of Chicago? Medicaid illiquid; you can’t make rent or buy malt liquor with it; you wanna go full Ayn Rand and get rid of it? About 3% of the population of this country receives housing subsidies. About 13% receives grocery subsidies. So, that’s what this is about: they live in households where their mamas get $400 a month in food stamps.

In 2020 I came to believe that this is the USSA–truly a Communist country, in spite of We the People. I see that those who have the power in this country to make/enforce laws, appoint judges, reward anti-social behavior, and count ballots are…Communists. They are certainly doing what Communists always do: collapsing the Middle Class, masterfully creating chaos (especially with criminals and perverts) where there had been order, so that their massively repugnant Dystopian “solutions” will be accepted by the rank-and-file who just want peace…I believe the Democrats are all Communists, and many or most of the Republicans are as well. My “McCarthy was right” bumper sticker sadly fell off my car a couple weeks ago; I will have to get a new one.

Why not try learning to use political terminology properly?

I think this is 100% correct. Why else encourage such societal collapse?

Looks OK to me . . . unless you’d prefer Leninists or Maoists or some other more granular description.

Nothing to do with Communism or Marxism, which is not being promoted. What is being promoted bears the closest resemblance to grotesque Mexican-style machine politics ca. 1950.
