Banana Republic Tactic

Trump can usually rely upon his enemies to give him a helping hand.  There is a reason why this is unprecedented.  It is something usually seen in a Latin American dictatorship.  His adversaries are always ready to throw overboard every standard in their ceaseless hunt for the Great Orange Man Bad.

Unfortunately, far too many of the American rabble, and the sophisticated class as well, don’t mind behaving as if they lived in a banana republic.

They’re nothing without Orange Man Bad. (And they know it.)

Is there any chance this might distract Trump from his feud with Ron De Santis and end up being a blessing in disguise for that reason?

Yeah, elections are always totally fair and honest in banana republics too.

At this point it wouldn’t surprise me if Biden literally dies on camera and they STILL fortify his corpse into office.

The pundits who are excited at the thought of an indicted Trump being cuffed and led away are the very same ‘experts’ who gravely told us that it would be bad for the republic if Hillary was charged over her secret email server and mishandling classified documents.

The poster of Trump is great because they are after us reference Yelesin and Senator Blackburn (R-TN), Governor Noem (R-SC) and other snippets about failing banks, digital currency, etc.
I’ve often wondered if WH puppetmasters are bold enough to make a deceased Biden an American El Cid. Think we are pretty close to First Lady Jill being a Mrs. Wilson. I have an acquaintance who worked in intell and has a huge TV who swears there at least 2 Biden doubles. She says the plastic surgery scars tend to be in different places depending on whose doubling for Joe that day. I wouln’t know our TV is on the small.side.

Maybe they can swap the potential China indictments for the Trump arrest and everyone can start with a clean slate in 2024.

You know, it would seem the Dems have some cold-blooded political calculators. Would not ignoring Trump be the best way to remove him from politics? What drives this prosecution/persecution? Have they rationally calculated that they are safer this way (and how), or is this just a mindless revenge fantasy driven by Hillarophiles for 2016? One wonders what the old “big cigars” would have said?

I remember in 2016 the likes of Scott Adams and similar commentators saying that Hillary almost certainly did break the law, but that Comey was right in not pursuing charges (before or after the election) since doing so would create too big of perception that we live in a banana republic.

In this case I’m not even sure what crime Trump is being accused of, even given that the accusations are true (which is unclear in and of itself.) Hush money may be sleazy but it’s not illegal. I understand that they claim it was some sort of campaign finance violation, but I don’t understand how that works, and even if that were true it pales in comparison to mishandling classified information and then destroying evidence.

The big takeaway is this: never refrain from doing so because you’re worried that the left will do the same to you down the road. They’ll eventually use every tactic against you regardless of which ones you used.

Donald:
No doubt that’s the one side. But has anyone calculated the backlash in red states? Do they discount it or has someone run numbers? What do they gain if they lose in court?

Why do the Democrats want to stoke the smoldering fires of civil war? Many people are going to react very angrily to this. I don’t like Trump, and he has nothing of the statesman in him, but his stewardship of the country while he was in office was surprisingly very good. He just can’t keep his mouth shut and his fingers off the social media keyboard. If Trump is arrested and led off in handcuffs, then I don’t think it will end well. Hopefully I am wrong.

Prepare for the worst.

Locking up Trump will be weak tea compared to the catastrophes the numbskulls’ garbage [infallibly ignorant] policies will inflict on you.

Ditto on LCQ’s point(s).

There is a growing sense among a fair proportion of the population that all the federal courts and many blue-state courts and their jack juries (as seen here) will not give red state people or voters a fair and equitable hearing.

And the Left keeps pushing.

I read today in an editorial that stated “The Left wants to incite another 1/6.” That does make sense. It would distract from what they are doing.

@David WS

It’s called “mid level violence” and provocation is the point.
