And I’m old enough to remember when “Is the pope Catholic?” was a rhetorical question.

Good one, Greg.
So, I’m so old enough I remember when the Diocese of Rockville Center was raising money to build churches and schools not BANKRUPT and being forced to pay to sexual abuse victims $200,000,000 or $400,000,000, whatever the court imposes.

I remember when the Pope wasn’t about his agenda and initiatives like some political hack. He, like his Holy Church, stood athwart time. He was the Catholic, not just first but always and forever.
I too remember “Is the pope Catholic?” was a rhetorical question.
