It’s not clear to whom he’s comparing them. There’s been a decline in character across the board and sometimes it seems you can hardly trust anyone.
The MSM is just lazy and controlled. They speak out and they are terminated (some terminations). I would agree the controller is probably a psychopath. A very disturbed character.

There is no single controller. That’s crazy talk.
My guess would be that the most likely to be on the level would be local TV news types and those on specialty beats like weather, entertainment, sports, or features. The more professional prestige attaches to a position, the more the occupant is likely to be a liar. People in word merchant occupations are increasingly drawn from a particular subculture, and the subculture is less and less animated by an interest in public policy and more and more animated by ambient inter-group hostility.
