My bellwether on these issues is Heather McDonald, whose view is that everything she sees in that video is a violation of common-and-garden police training protocols. I’m wondering to what degree performance standards were relaxed to allow these four to be sworn in as police officers.

I think we can suspend judgment on of what they are to be deemed guilty. And murder isn’t a common consequence of fornication.

I’ve been told in gangs they have their own hierarchy. When you’ve been told to carry it out, you carry it out. I doubt they will suffer in prison.

No, what the murders in lab coats elect to do with their lives and what their clients elect to do leads to murder.
The great tragedy is the atrocity done to Mr. Nichols and his grieving family. May God rest his soul and give his family justice.
The increasing sequence of tragedies to follow as policing continues to collapse will get less coverage but be no less grievous.

About 40% of those convicted of crimes are remanded to state prison and the mean time served therein is about 30 months.

No one would have heard about this tragedy if black cops had killed a white man.
