Yes, they were vile. They were screeching like banshee women about random things such as gays, abortion etc… Fortunately, the Maronite mob were there in force (and although I don’t condone the use of the f-bomb straight after praying the Rosary), it was a fence and a light barricade of police officers which stopped the provokers from being punching bags for the fed up people praying outside St Mary’s Cathedral. I don’t think many people would have had much sympathy if the riled up Lebanese Christians had let out their frustrations on the provocateurs who gate crashed the funeral of the late Cardinal.
