PopeWatch: Sin?

Yet another demonstration, as if it were needed, that the Lavender Mafia calls the shot in this papacy.  The Pope can’t bother to answer formal doctrinal questions from Cardinals, but boy does he scurry when Father James Martin asks for a clarification.  Go here to read the article.  The Pope says that the sin in regard to homosexual relations is that it is outside of marriage, not that it is intrinsically disordered, is a sexual perversion, is condemned in Scripture and is opposed to natural law and the Divine creation of two sexes.  This is all part and parcel of the main goal of Pope Francis:  the normalization of homosexual acts, on a same par as heterosexual acts.

When someone tells you who they are, repeatedly and nauseatingly so, believe them.

Related. The Diocese of Rockville Center, LI, NY declared bankruptcy and this promiscuity. We will either pony uop $200 miullion or $400 million. Who pays, PF?

I’m not qualified to argue the finer points here – making up stuff about stuff is not my strong suit.

But talk about dumbing down moral teaching. Even a dope like me sees it.

FYI – It isn’t only 2,000+ years of RC Church teaching, it’s found among the ancient Hebrews, Muslims, ancient, secular philosophers, pre 1970 psychologists, etc. that same sex perversion is essentially pathological, disordered, sterile and an abomination on a nation.

As if we needed more reason to question the stupidity of the lavender gang of not-straight shooters.

Just finished listening to Fr. Mike Schmitz’s homily for the 4th Sunday. (see
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pdap-3Uvks8&t=9s )
He quotes Pope Benedict XVI (as Cardinal Ratzinger) “The Church must become small.” Perhaps this is God’s plan with the present pontificate, that the Church be purified.

Kurland.

I’m in agreement with Pope Benedict XVI, [Cardinal Ratzinger] assessment.
The acceptance of love is love mentality has widened that old road to perdition. Sin is never love, but there sure seems to be many who claim ambassadorship of Christ who will teach new doctrines under an appearance of mercy.

Yes. A purification of His Church.
A small narrow pathway home.

If PF went to the weak tea entry in the Catechism, he could have given Martin the correct answer.

In addition, same sex, mutual masturbation is contrary to the first command God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, gave to his creatures in Genesis: ‘go forth and be fruitful’ or something.

Can you imagine a Martin questioning a Pius XII or a JP II and expecting a reply?

So, we let them pretend they are in a marriage and pretend there is no sin? Hogwash.
It’s a sin period no matter if you attempt an invalid marriage or not.
I would rather my feelings hurt than end up in eternity in hell.

CHAPTER CXXIV. How among the said ministers reigns unnatural sin…

“… But they act in a contrary way, for they come full of impurity to this mystery, and not only of that impurity to which, through the fragility of your weak nature, you are all naturally inclined (although reason when free-will permits, can quiet the rebellion of nature), but these wretches not only do not bridle this fragility, but do worse, committing that accursed sin against nature, and as blind and fools with the light of their intellect darkened, they do not know the stench and misery in which they are. It is not only that this sin stinks before Me, Who am the Supreme and Eternal Truth, it does indeed displease Me so much and I hold it in such abomination that for it alone I buried five cities by a Divine judgment, My Divine justice being no longer able to endure it. This sin not only displeases Me as I have said, but also the devils whom these wretches have made their masters. Not that the evil displeases them because they like anything good, but because their nature was originally angelic, and their angelic nature causes them to loathe the sight of the actual commission of this enormous sin. They truly enough hurl the arrow poisoned with the venom of concupiscence, but when their victim proceeds to the actual commission of the sin, they depart for the reason and in the manner that I have said.”

— From The Dialogue of the Seraphic Virgin Catherine of Siena: Dictated by her, while in a state of ecstasy, to her secretaries, and completed in the year 1370

Schism would certainly make the Church small, and I am not sure why folks are so terrified of it.

I notice Pope Francis hangs a lot on the ‘circumstances’ element in terms of what does or doesn’t mitigate culpability. I also notice ‘circumstances’ isn’t something he dwells on when it comes to things he condemns, or those who run afoul of agendas he supports.

Imagine the effort he could put into helping same sex attracted persons as much as he currently outs into twisted himself into a pretzel. There is sooooo much that could achieve. It needs to be battled on a deeper level than “it’s a sin”.

The Pope is sentimental. He thinks he’s being like Jesus visting the adulterers and tax collectors when he accompanies the homosexual. He thinks he is opposing judgmental Pharisees when he cracks down on Traditionalists. He thinks he’s being like St. Paul opposing the Mosaic Law when he loosens up Church Law. He can’t fathom how wrong he is. And when he learns of our criticism, he explodes in anger, thinking he is like Jesus whipping the money changers out of the Temple.

People rejecting the teaching of the Church is one thing, but the teaching has still been clear. When our shepherds start deliberately teaching error, that’s something entirely different.

PF comments are a signal that church sanctioned blessings of same sex unions are coming in the future. He is giving false hope to these couples. Lavender Mafia wants to make homosexual union seem like it is normal. Many nations recognize same sex unions as civil marriages so why not formally bless same sex unions in a church? Wrong! It will never be the sacrament of Matrimony. Hate the sin love the sinner.

I think LQC has pegged the Pope’s mind set. He is a dangerous fool leading many on a false path to Perdion in the after life. Last Our Father of the rosary is for the Pope’ s conversion and the clergy who follow his heretical teachings.

The only way he can guarantee that is if his successor thinks and acts like him. And he can’t. Praying his successor is orthodox.

Pope Francis has been utterly clear that the Sacrament of Matrimony can only be administered to a man and a woman.

his response to Fr. Martin merely emphasized one point, an essential point, that ALL human sexual activity outside of a true marriage is gravely sinful.

It’s contraception.
That practice leads directly to the acceptance of sexual relations as mutual masturbation, sodomy, abortion and human will over Divine Will.

Schism would be a disaster for the Church and humanity with untold souls lost. I look forward to schism as much as I do Civil War II

Donald, this is an honest question? How would more souls be lost in an actual schism than the defacto one we have now? That is not a sarcastic or rhetorical comment.

I have no idea how to gauge how many souls are lost in different scenarios. I think there’s a good argument to be made that the Western Schism was a major contributor to the Reformation though.

There is no such thing as a “homosexual union” Two do not become one. The only thing that sodomy begets is hemorroids.
