Chris Rock has made an educational video on how to deal with police encounters pic.twitter.com/noDyFiaR8M

Very strong language advisory to the above video. During my forty years as an attorney I have always told my clients when dealing with the police to be polite, to speak as little as possible and to immediately assert their right to silence and right to counsel if they are arrested. If there was anything wrong with the stop I can deal with it later in court. Trying to physically resist the cops, or running away, is extremely dangerous as well as extremely stupid.
The fact that 5 grown offices couldn’t restrain a single individual without beating him to death shows these were rubbish police officers NOT doing their job. That’s not law and order- that’s thuggery disguised as law and order. I hope justice is served in those 5 x thugs.
Also, this incidence has made international headlines despite the fact the 5 x officers were black and they beat a black man to death. I’m surprised the media didn’t bury this story.

Or that the arrestee was high as a kite on drugs and fighting with the strength of the possessed. We do not have the toxicology report yet. I think it is absurd to blame the cops only. If he had complied with the arrest he would be very much alive today.
T wit, when I was in [believe it or not] college one of our frat brothers about five foot nothing and 130 lbs. and high on some illegal substance threw one of the other brothers who was six foot four and 230 lbs. trying to restrain him into a glass cabinet and we had to take the big one to an infirmary to get the lacerations stitched.
Anyhow, it seems as if rascally race riot season commences earlier each year.
I am very weary of the assumption that police must be at fault every time a minority suffers an unfortunate incident. I have heard about many since Rodney King, including him. In every single incident, the “victim” resisted arrest, led police on a “merry” chase, then fought better than the average WWE wrestler. I also routinely learn that race relations had been growing tense for some time
Yet in every single case, America’s Black Community adamantly insists that..racist cops must be the problem.
…And never mind the rate of Black on Black crime that may be prevalent in the area, that’s none of your business.
Projection much?
However pungent Rock’s video might be, he still succeeds in making a VERY good point in a hilarious way.
The only thing that surprises me about this incident is that the media is admitting that the cops were black.

Blame on the deceased for resisting arrest. Given. However, I watched the footage- they beat him, swearing at him, in order to punish him for running away. It allegedly took 5minutes to render him unconscious. It’s not their job to administer punishment. I’m usually on the side of the police, but what they did was inexcusable. They’re just black thugs with a badge. Sorry.

Agreed, and they will likely pay a severe penalty for that.

The Left regularly says that just because your skin is “black” does not mean you heart & mind aren’t “white.”
Despite the fact these two lawyers are probably high, they seem to give the same advice Don does. Oh, fair warning to those scandalized by EF-Bombs.

After how we were all lied to about the George Floyd situation, we should be careful about rushing to judgment. If there was any real justice in that case, Minnesota AG Keith Ellison would be doing hard time, not Chauvin and those other three cops.
“If there was any real justice in that case, Minnesota AG Keith Ellison would be doing hard time, not Chauvin and those other three cops.”
Agreed. Based on what evidence I’ve heard, I could’ve seen Chauvin charged with involuntary manslaughter, negligent homicide, or the cop equivalent of either. Not murder.
“It’s not their job to administer punishment. I’m usually on the side of the police, but what they did was inexcusable.”.
You know, 30 years ago, I would have agreed. Not anymore. Since 1992, …too many liberal judges or progressive Attorney’s General have prosecuted fairly minor crimes far more vigorously than any law ever required. We hear excuses about “making an example”, “sending a message”, or “giving warning”. Too many in the Judiciary seem to have no qualms about abusing law and allowing open season on society, cops in particular. I therefore have no qualms about officers returning the favor. If people want peace, they can be peaceful and abide by the law. If they want war, ..they need not demand mercy from law enforcement. There need to be genuine consequences for tearing up the town.
In light of the charges being filed here against black police officers, I can’t wait to see Lt. Michael Byrd charged with the murder of Ashli Babbitt. I mean, she didn’t even get the benefit of surviving her encounter with an officer of the law for three days. Rather, the excessive force used against her was more immediately lethal. I’m sure the outcry from the Leftist media will begin in 3, 2, 1…
