Don Surber takes a look at Paul Harvey’s brilliant 1965 “If I Were the Devil” and nails it:
The devil’s plan was far worse than Harvey could imagine. The devil made abortion a right in 1973. This evil killed 60 million Americans. That’s the equivalent of the American loss of life in 1,000 Vietnams. The rest of the world, sadly, followed America’s lead down this yellow brick road to perdition.
Harvey missed how the devil would turn cities ablaze over the death of a junkie. Harvey missed de-criminalizing the ransacking of stores. Harvey missed turning boulevards into rows of pup tents mingled with human waste.
But he got what the plan was: to destroy America from within by turning the nation away from God. In my lifetime, we have gone from ending prayer in school to using the captured audiences in grade school to indoctrinate children into the Church of LGBT before they reach puberty. Under Reagan, we puzzled over why Johnny cannot read. Ah, the good old days. Now Johnny not only cannot read but he does not know whether he is a boy or a girl.
Paul Harvey tried to warn us about this in 1965, just as I am trying to do now.
Good Day.

There is no right to abortion in our Constitution. Dobbs v. Jackson. There is no right to Freedom from Religion in our Constitution. Religion is man’s response to the gift of Faith from God in thought, word, deed and peaceable assembly. God created man in His image and likeness. So. God owns mankind. But God gave man freedom. This freedom is expressed in our Founding Principles: The Declaration of Independence and our U.S. Constitution.
There is no right to Freedom from Religion in our First Amendment. Yet atheists have won the right to remove acknowledgement of God from our public schools. No free speech. No free peaceable assembly. God is summarily dismissed from social platforms.
Fallen heroes are buried beneath the Cross at Bradensburg, Maryland and the Mt. Soledad Cross at San Diego. Both crosses were to be removed because of their religious nature from the public. If our fallen heroes cannot will to be buried under their cross, what Last Will and Testament will be respected? Freedom from Religion is not in our Constitution.
Pornography and drug addiction render a man’s free will and intellect useless. An individual using cough syrup cannot sign a valid contract for 24 hours after ingesting. How does a pornography or drug addict claim to have ability to form a marriage?
The U.S. Supreme Court said that pornography is speech and entitled to freedom of speech. Pornography is a lie about men and women’s human sexuality. Lies are perjury in a court of law.
Atheism, pornography, perjury are not given freedom in our Constitution.

Sep 8, 2016 — More than 25 years of lawsuits, court rulings, aborted sales and property transfers over the landmark Mt. Soledad cross in La Jolla have
Actually, Mary, there are no graves At Mt. Soledad, but it is a memorial. Aldo, just for the record, I would l Iike to commend one of the major fighters for the Soleded cross, Phil Thalheimer. I interacted with him several times when I worked for the city (as did he), and I never failed being impressed by his integrity and intelligence. And he never failed to take personal time off for High Holy Days, as an observant Jew.
Thank you Southcoast.
A memorial cross reminds all of the sacrifices made by fallen heroes.
I followed the atheists’ suits against Mt. Soledad. If everything the atheist Michael Newdow said was true; the Mt. Soledad Cross is grandfathered, being there before atheism became a faith or religion. Imagine a Faith without God. The Court said in Engel v. Vitale in 1962 that she (Madaleine Murray O’Hair) can go her own way. The bullies of atheism want power to tyrannize the people.
Religious people were here before atheists.
