It has been my experience that Democrats are impervious to reason. Reason and logic can easily be overwhelmed by emotion and sentiment.

Our public education system is a failure, just like the Great Society and the New Deal before it. Young adults, on the whole, are lazier and more self indulged than ever, driven by social media, pop entertainment and lacking ability to think clearly.
There may soon come a time where there is some sort of violent struggle between Left and Right in this country. Conservative and tradtional people have been and will continue to vacate New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Illinois for Texas, Tennessee, the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida. Californians flocking to Colorado have rendered it Democrat and Colorado conservatives will then leave Colorado for more friendly locations. Arizona and Nevada are question marks.
Meanwhile, there will be clamoring for changing state borders. Much of Eastern Oregon wants to join Idaho. Western Maryland wants to join West Virginia. Pennsylvania should split in two.
