Math is a Stubborn Thing

Math lacks a social conscience and withstands mob action and revolutionary rhetoric.  Engineers who get the math wrong are jumped up grave diggers.

Would you want to travel the bridge designed by an engineer who doesn’t know math? And it has been said “God is a mathematician.” (See here:

Correction: I think they work for the IRS, not grave digging.

The huge problem with mathematics is it is not susceptible to wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Economics, before it devolved into subverting statistics and applied ideology, was similarly empirical and objective. No longer.

“ clear correlation between a background in engineering and support for authoritarianism..”

What the idiot above did was equate “authoritarianism” with an understanding & appreciation of “law and order” in the Universe.

Mr. Scott said it best: “ye can’t do it captain, ye can’t violate the laws of physics.”

(Ideas like discounting the fact we’re binary species, and have been for millions of years descended from other species before Adam is turning peoples minds to mush.)
It’s good to be an engineer.
Good video. Everything was correct.

It isn’t, but Mathematicians are.

I guarantee that the department of mathematics at every public university, and 90% of the private universities, are actively conceding to demands to add “diversity, equity and inclusion” into their curricula.
