The GOP takes the House. I predict the Republicans will have around 240 seats, and they could easily go higher up to around 250. If they get above 247 the Republicans would have their greatest majority since the election of 1928 when they got 270 seats.
The GOP also takes the Senate with around 54 seats.
In Statehouses I predict 31 for the GOP, up from their current 28. If the Republicans take New York State the Red Wave election will become the Red Wedding election for the Democrats.
In state legislative races I predict the Republicans to pick up around 500-700 seats.
Put your predictions in the comboxes.
Red wave likely to continue into 2024, but watch for a blue wave forming and then landing in 2026
Rothenberg’s last set of projections shakes out to a Republican gain of 15 seats in the House and perhaps 1 in the Senate, with a loss of perhaps one governor’s chair, net.
Very anxious about fraud, which I do not think any of the modelers account for. I’m expecting the Democrats to steal as many seats as they can manage, with Washington state, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia vulnerable. It would be condign punishment for Democrats in New York to lose the governor’s chair; not optimistic even if they do as Zeldin will be facing a Democratic supermajority in the legislature and I cannot see them repealing the witless ‘bail reforms’ which have been behind so many travesties. IIRC, there is a provision in the state constitution which would allow the governor to depose the odious district attorney in Manhattan and I’d look forward to Zeldin doing that. Not sure what the procedure would be for filling the vacancy.

We need an opposition party other than Democrat. The Democrat Party itself must be completely destroyed because of its platform for baby-murdering and sodomy-sanctification. Today it’s worse than when it supported slavery in the 19th century. There are many 3rd parties nowadays, but none suffice in broad appeal and popularity as the Democrat Party.
Hispanic goes Red.
They’ll be Democrat gun turrets on our Southern border very soon.

Agreed. And on top of this that by the next election cycle declaring Republican policies treasonous will be a central plank of the Democrat party, meaning that the destruction of the Democrat party is a necessary act of self defense from the Republicans.
Republicans take both houses of Congress, but it matters very little. Even when Republicans hold both houses and the White House, they tend to act like Democrats in slow motion. At this point, winning an election should produce the kind of elation Paulus felt when he was promoted to field general.

There have been a number of problems. The Democratic Party is an electoral vehicle for various occupational and communal segments. There has been a secular decline among those segments in the inclination and capacity to see one as a competitor in a political landscape which has competing interests and sentiments and requires procedures and referees to contain that competition. For some time, this was manifest in the interaction between public interest shysters and appellate judges, whereby something the Democratic Party did not want was declared ‘unconstitutional’, with the law professoriate providing cover for such corrupt transactions. In the last 20-odd years, we’ve seen the catastrophic decline in ballot security, with the media and the same crew of shysters providing cover.
Another way its been manifest is in refusing to enforce the immigration laws and building a vote farm out of various ethnic blocs.
Substantively, Democrats think of public institutions as their property. The civil service, the schools, the state colleges, the appellate courts, the legislatures are theirs. Electoral competition is a conduit by which these things might be taken away from their rightful owners. Also, no constituency which makes use of these institutions has any claim on a fair shake from them. See, for example, the exploitation of schools for increasingly bizarre political and social propaganda. It’s absolutely gratuitous and is a function of no one’s objects except that of school employees themselves.
Note, Democrats object to the opposition exercising their civil rights at all. See, for example, the Southern Strategy discourse propagated among partisan Democrats. It’s manifest nonsense but they all take it seriously. Aside from lying about the objectives and the campaign themes of Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George Bush the Elder, the nut of it is a complaint that white Southerners vote in elections and have opinions about policy.
Note, the mentality colonized the legal profession, colonized the media, colonized the schools at all levels, colonized the social work and mental health trade, colonized corporate HR. It’s gotten increasingly difficult to escape the discourse within the Democratic Party even as it grew increasingly untethered to empirical reality. The common life has in my memory never been more mendacious, abrasive, and bizarre. And, yeah, the situation is not sustainable.

Not that. They tend to get nothing done, including nothing to reverse the abusive practices and stupidities of the opposition.
“Not that. They tend to get nothing done, including nothing to reverse the abusive practices and stupidities of the opposition.” It amounts to the same thing. They accept as “the new normal” whatever new abominations the Democrats introduced a decade ago, and by accepting them, they give them the apparent respectability of consensus. Oh, they might throw up a half … hearted … show of oppositioni, just to fool the Republican rank and file (Gotta keep the sheep happy if you want to fleece them!), but once that (surprise!) fails, they return to their real interests, which are money and war.
Ugh. Politics was never going to be able to cure us of our spiritual diseases, but it is increasingly becoming not just a false cure, but a mockery of a cure.
It amounts to the same thing.
No it doesn’t.
Yes, it does. How many Republicans are as far to the right on gays in the military as BILL CLINTON was when he was in office? Remember, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”, which today is treated like Right-wing extremism, was at the time a huge lurch to the left. Most Republicans reassure voters that they are not Neanderthals as far to the Right as Bill Clinton. Just like Obama, they have “evolved”. The only distinction is that the Republicans have evolved into the Eloi, and the Democrats into Morlocks.
