At one time Michael Beschloss was a respected historian. That he should turn into such a hysterical partisan is just sad. I really think that Democrats like him thought that Obama ushered in a new era. Then they reacted psychotically to the fact that the only thing Obama ushered in was a new political era, the Age of Trump, with a new and stronger GOP coming into being.

You see the same with Robert Reich and Timothy Noah. All of them came to prominence in the world of topical commentary around the same time (ca. 1981) and all now demonstrating that age has unfortunate effects on some people’s faculties.
