The underlying principle of progressives is totalitarianism.

You can take that to the bank.

I watched a TV reporter interview a group of very pleasant, older Midwestern folks. They all looked like they retired in some affluence and would be the kinds of folks you’d really like to have as neighbors. They all voiced a complete lack of understanding as to why and how “our leaders could let the crime situation get this bad.”

The fact that so many “regular folks” still don’t get that the enemy has breached the ramparts and occupied the high ground is astounding. Every time I say “It’s because they want this” the reaction is the same: “Not in this country.”

Sorry, Uncle Fred, it is in this country and it’s all around you.

Praise God that so far the enemy is totally inept and emotionally arrested. If they gain any real competence before we can pull down the pillars, we’re hosed.

Unfortunately, it comes from both sides: or, do you regard the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers as epitomes of Jeffersonian republicanism?

What have they done that would bother me?
