Heartfelt
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 41 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
Native American barbarity in intertribal conflict was common. It has generally been covered up by modern writers in order to promote the myth of solidarity and the “one with nature” fantasy. This is the reason than despite their presence of over 18 thousand years on North and South America, the population never exceeded 18 million at the most.
The Mexican, Central American and Incan Empires were impressive tours de force. Quote sophisticated empires and reared without the wheel or horses. Real study of them and the far more primitive tribes of North and South America is valuable work. Too often it gets mixed in with noble savage nonsense by which the Left belabors the West.
Heartfelt is so apt. Happy Columbus Day to all.
Mel Gibson might chime in with;
Happy Indigenous Day…but I doubt it.
Apocalypto
The cannibalism stopped when our Lady appeared to Juan Diego at Gudaloupe. I recommend Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto as well. Thank you Philip. Happy Indigenous Cannibal Day. Maybe the cannibals will shorten the cancel culture.
The picture is wrong. Hearts were cut out of living victims Then their bodies, thrown from the pyramid, were prepared by the wives and cannibalised. Happy Indigenous Cannibals Day. Give us back our Columbus Day. Unbridled ignorance is riding high in America. Give us back our Columbus Day.
